The purposes of the association
Firstly
- Supporting the Tuberculosis patients and their families, social welfare
- Helping families of the patients, based on studying their social conditions and problems
- The association works to spread awareness and guidance through means of advertising to prevent chest diseases such as tuberculosis
- The association provides in-kind and cash assistance within the limits of its financial capabilities, helping parents of tuberculosis that are transferred to it from Al-Sadr Hospital in Aswan, especially the emergency cases
- The association is working hard to expand and enhance its ability to provide more aids and benefits.
Vocational rehabilitation for tuberculosis patients and the recovered ones.
- The professional habilitation that the association provides for tuberculosis patients and recovered ones, is including mainly: social and professional services, vocational guidance, vocational training and employment which ultimately aims to return the patient who has lost his capabilities to work as a result of a tuberculosis injury to be an active member in his society
- The Professional habilitation in these cases is considered one of the important stages of the treatment, without which the patients are not expected to succeed in their struggle with the tuberculosis, and for this reason the association believe in the importance of this goal by establishing the first vocational rehabilitation center for patients with tuberculosis in Aswan.
Previously, it was a small apartment in the Al-Baraka neighborhood of Aswan, with sections of the Al-Harzan carpet. While in 1960, the center expanded to be a whole building, as the governorate saw the role of the association and its serious desire to move forward towards its goals, holding the association’s message and expanding its services to include this important aspect of social welfare for the patients. The governor has also provided the association with the land where the association premises is available now, the governorate’s services office of social affairs donated to construct the association building and the
Directorate of social affairs in Aswan has also donated with another amount to the association.
- The patient should completely have spent his recovery period in the chest hospital in Aswan
- The patient should be already recovered
- The patient should submit a medical report about his case and his medical history
- The association should implement and approve his social case study

- Support a specific segment who are already recovered from the tuberculosis and their families
- Women and children care (nurseries) – shelter nursey Al Firdous
- Development center for the productive families
- Social aids
- Other social services
